Details About this Position…

TLD’s Securement Specialist will spot, prep, secure and tarp glass freight on various trailers and as well as intermodal containers. This position would report to our Securement Team Leader and will:

  • Starting pay is $18+/HR based on experience
  • Operate the yard truck to spot trailers for loading/unloading and pull trailers out of the dock.
  • Setup/Frepare trailers for loading or unloading.
  • Tarp and secure glass freight
  • lnspect clean and replace securement equipment as needed.
  • Ensure a safe working environment by following safety policies and procedures established.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending and participating in appropriate training.
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
  • Knowledge of glass securement and tarping.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to follow instructions.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient verbal communication skills
  • Ability to use hand and power tools.
  • Ability to focus in a high paced warehouse environment.

  • The employee would be frequently required to use hands and fingers to handle, reach or feel and manipulate objects or controls.
  • The employee would be frequently required to sit or stand for long periods of time, walk distances and climb stairs, work from ladders as well as stoop, bend, kneel and crouch.

Working Conditions of this Position
  • Employee will be subject to high levels of noise, smells and extreme temperatures associated with a warehouse/shop environment.
  • The employee will be exposed to industrial equipment such as overhead cranes and forklifts.
  • Team member will be subject to varying schedules based on operational needs including dayshift, nightshift, and weekends.
  • Must be able to work at heights, physically able to climb, stand, walk, kneel, and crouch for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time to lift and carry materials.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
