Details about this position..
Securement Specialist will spot, prep, secure and tarp glass freight on various trailers and intermodal as well as containers. This position is located in Laurinburg, NC and applicants must be within 30 mi to apply, unless willing to relocate.
Essential Functions
- Operate the yard truck to spot trailers for loading/unloading and pull trailers out of the dock.
- Setup/Prepare trailers for loading or unloading.
- Tarp and secure glass freight.
- lnspect clean and replace securement equipment as needed.
- Ensure a safe working environment by following safety policies and procedures established.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending and participating in appropriate training.
- Perform all other related duties as assigned.
Working Conditions
- Employee will be subject to high levels of noise, smells and extreme temperatures associated with a warehouse/shop environment.
- The employee will be exposed to industrial equipment such as overhead cranes and forklifts. ‘ Team member will be subject to varying schedules based on operational needs including dayshift, nightshift, and weekends.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
- Knowledge of glass securement and tarping.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient verbal communication skills.
- Ability to use hand and power tools.
- Ability to focus in a high paced warehouse environment.
Not Required but Recommended
- Experience with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- Familiarity with McLeod software or McLeod hosted applications

Annual Salary
This brokerage position offers an annual salary ranging from $67 – $70K a year based on experience.
