TLD’s Capacity Representative will maintain current carrier relationships and develop new carrier relationships to provide capacity coverage for TLD, a wholly owned subsidiary of Toyota Tsusho Corporation, is brokerage division.
- Daily interaction with carrier stakeholders
- Professional discourse over the phone
- Provide timely tracking and tracing
- Multitask between various forms of communication (email, phone, text, IM)
- Prioritize tasks throughout the day
- Rely on sense of urgency around time sensitive shipments
- Resolve transportation issues that occur during transit of goods
- Manage a book of carriers to meet individual and team growth goals.
- Ability to negotiate rates with carriers in a fast-paced environment
- Work with account manager insure capacity coverage
- Strong communication skill set
- Use knowledge of supply chains and transportation markets to source/provide capacity
Education & Experience Requirements
- Associates degree or above
- Experience in logistics/transportation (preferred)
- Competency in Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent geographical knowledge
- Organizational, verbal, and written skills
- Ability to negotiate and multi-task and detail oriented
