As a member of the Tennessee Trucking Association, TLD proudly participated in an event at Rutledge Middle School in Tennessee on October 29th. The event was part of Red Ribbon Week, an annual campaign from October 23-31 that educates youth about the dangers of drug use.
Bobby Arnold, a TLD safety team member and Tennessee Road Team representative, was invited to support the event. The Road Team’s mission is to educate the public about all aspects of trucking, trucks, and drivers.
At the event, Bobby and his team explained the effects of alcohol and drug use on driving. Students experienced impairment firsthand by wearing special goggles while riding pedal cars, simulating the effects of alcohol or drug use. Approximately 380 students benefited from this eye-opening activity, making it a successful community outreach event.
