Hourly Pay: $23-$25/ Hour Based on Experience
Ensures accurate freight charges are applied, discrepancies are resolved, and all billing records are maintained in compliance with company policies and industry regulations. Mentors and trains new billing staff.
- Invoice Processing: Generate, audit, and process freight invoices for shipments, ensuring charges align with contracts, tariffs, and rates
Data Verification: Review shipping documents (BOLs, PODs, manifests) for accuracy and completeness
Charge Calculation: Accurately calculate freight charges using rate schedules, contracts, and applicable accessorials
Discrepancy Resolution: Investigate and resolve billing issues with carriers, brokers, and clients; escalate unresolved matters as needed
Communication: Liaise with internal teams (logistics, accounting) and external parties (carriers, customers) to clarify billing questions and ensure timely payments
Data Entry & Recordkeeping: Input billing information into company databases and billing software; maintain organized, compliant financial records
Compliance: Ensure all billing activities comply with company policies, UCC regulations, and freight billing standards

- High School Diploma
- 3+ Years’ Experience in Transportation/Logistics Industry preferred
- 3-6 years’ Experience in Accounting or Finance preferred
