Position: Lead Mechanic

Job Location: Crossville, TN

Pay: $49,920.00 – $58,240.00 per year
- Average Income for Position: $49K – $58K / yr
A Lead Mechanic is responsible and accountable for all shop operations conducted during their scheduled shift. As a shift leader you will manage the workflow of all technicians assigned to your shift to include work assignment, follow-up and review of final repairs/work.
Education & Experience Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Graduated from an accredited school studying Diesel Technology (Preferred)
- Must have a Class A CDL
- Must pass and maintain a DOT physical.
- Advanced Mechanical Skills and
- Knowledge 5 Years of experience performing diagnostics and repair
on class 8 trucks and trailers. - Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook; internet (Preferred)
- Good organizational, verbal and written skills.
For Safety, Applications Must Also Be Able To
- Sit or stand for long periods of time, walk distances and climb stairs, as well as stoop, bend, kneel and crouch.
- Lift 25/50/80 pounds regularly.
- Respond quickly to sounds.
- Move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.
- Safely climb ladders while carrying up to 25 pounds
- Wear personal protective gear correctly most of the day.
- See and respond to dangerous situations.
