It is with great pride that I announce TLD has been awarded one of North America’s 20 “Best Fleets to Drive For” in 2016 by the Truckload Carriers Association (TCA).
To be eligible to participate in this contest, the carrier must be nominated by a CDL driver who works for the carrier. Once nominated, the carriers must complete a comprehensive questionnaire that focuses on programs, benefits, opportunities and programs that are made available to its CDL driver.
During the final phase of the contest, TCA interviews a percentage of the carrier’s fleet. These interviews are done online, and represent a significant portion of the overall score.
20 companies are then selected as the “Best Fleets to Drive For” for that year. The TCA annual convention is held in March where two of the 20 carriers are selected for “Best Overall Fleet for Large Carriers”, and “Best Overall Fleet for Small Carriers”.
I want to thank Nina Jolly, Kaizen Supervisor in Knoxville, TN, who spearheaded this project, and was responsible for putting together all the information for the questionnaire. I also want to thank all of our drivers, who participated in the online survey. We would not have had any chance to win without the support from all drivers and office staff as well.
Everyone at TLD should be very proud of this honor, and of what you are doing to move our company forward. You are all setting the standard of excellence in this industry, and I appreciate each and every one of you.
